How should I design for cardboard?
Use bold, simple artwork with strong contrast, and avoid fine detail or gradients.
Can I get a rush order?
Yes, choose 2-3 business days (+10%) or 8 hours (+25%). 8 hours is not available at 500 boxes.
Using fine detail or gradients on cardboard
Corrugated cardboard absorbs ink, so keep artwork bold and simple.
Leaving out the 1/8" bleed
Extend backgrounds 1/8 in past the trim line, or thin white edges can show after cutting.
Placing text or logos too close to the edge
Keep all text and logos at least 1/8 in inside the trim line.
Uploading low-resolution images or screenshots
Anything under 300 dpi looks soft in print, use full-size artwork.
Submitting RGB artwork
Print uses CMYK and can look a little duller than on screen, convert before you upload.
Forgetting to embed or outline fonts
Letters can swap to a default font if fonts are not embedded or outlined.
