A basic business card is a straightforward, double-sided printed card for the essentials: your name, role, phone number, email and logo. Ours are printed on 14pt or 16pt card stock in two sizes, 3.5 x 2 in or 2 x 2 in, with a matte or gloss coating and a choice of straight or round corners. You can order from 100 up to 5000 cards.
Card stock thickness is measured in points, where one point is one thousandth of an inch, so 14pt is about 0.014 in thick and 16pt about 0.016 in. The 16pt stock is the thicker, sturdier choice, and 14pt is the lighter, lower-priced option. Both print on both sides, with the same design or a different design on each side.
Choose how fast you need your cards: 5-7 business days, 2-3 business days, or 8 hours. These times cover production only, not shipping or delivery. You can also add an emailed PDF proof to check your card before it goes on press, or add professional design help if you do not have a print-ready file.

14pt or 16pt card stock?
Both are printed on both sides. 16pt is thicker and feels sturdier. 14pt is slightly thinner and is the lower-priced choice.
Matte or gloss coating?
Matte has a softer, low-glare look. Gloss is shinier and makes colours look richer. Both are the same price.
What do the order options mean?
Production time only: the time we take to print your order. It does not include shipping or delivery. Corners: choose straight or round. Round corners add $15 on orders under 1000 cards and $25 per 1000 cards from 1000 up. Proofing: print as is, or have an emailed PDF proof sent to you to check before printing ($5, charged once per order). Hire a designer: add professional design help ($25, charged once per order) if you do not have a print-ready file.

What sizes can I choose?
You can choose 3.5 x 2 in or 2 x 2 in.
How many cards can I order?
Choose 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500 or 5000 cards.
Can I print a different design on each side?
Yes. Choose Double-Sided, Different Design. Send the front and back as separate files, or as a two-page PDF labelled front and back.
How long does production take?

Can I see a proof before my cards are printed?
Yes. Add the Email PDF Proof option and we will email you a PDF to check before your cards go on press.
Low-resolution files
Images saved from a website, social media or a screenshot are usually too small and print blurry or pixelated. Build your file at the full card size, at a resolution of 300 dpi, or start from a high-quality original. Stretching a small image to fit does not add detail.
Uploading RGB instead of CMYK
Screens use RGB, but printing uses CMYK. An RGB file will still print, but colours can shift, especially reds and bright blues. Set your file to CMYK before you export so what you approve is closer to what prints.
No bleed
If your background or image runs to the edge, extend it 0.125 in past the trim on every edge so a thin white edge does not show after trimming.
Text or logos too close to the edge
Keep your name, phone number and logo at least 0.125 in inside the trim, and away from the corners if you choose round corners. Anything closer to the edge can be trimmed off or look cramped.
Wrong size or scale
Build the file at the card size you ordered, at 100%, not a smaller size scaled up. The free template on the Templates tab shows the right size, bleed and safe area for each size.
Live fonts and transparency
Convert fonts to outlines and flatten transparency and layers, so nothing changes or goes missing when we open your file.
Both sides in one file
Different design on each side? Send front and back as separate files, or as a two-page PDF labelled front and back.
Unsupported file types
We accept PDF, AI, PSD, PNG or JPG, up to 25MB. Other file types, such as EPS or TIFF, cannot be uploaded.
