Folded business cards give you twice the space of a standard card. This one is a 3.5 x 4 in flat card, pre-scored so it folds down to 3.5 x 2 in (horizontal), with room on the outside and inside of the fold for your name, contact details, listing information or a short message. It is printed on 14pt card stock, and you can order from 100 up to 10000 cards.
Card stock thickness is measured in points, where one point is one thousandth of an inch, so 14pt is about 0.014 in thick. Because the card is pre-scored, it is ready to fold along a clean crease without you having to score it yourself.
You can add an emailed PDF proof to check your card before it goes on press, or add professional design help if you do not have a print-ready file.

14pt card stock
14pt is about 0.014 in thick. The card arrives pre-scored so it folds cleanly.
What does pre-scored mean
The card is scored, or creased, across the middle at the factory so it folds neatly along that line. You design the flat 3.5 x 4 in card, and it folds to 3.5 x 2 in.
What do the order options mean?
Proofing: print as is, or have an emailed PDF proof sent to you to check before printing ($5, charged once per order). Hire a designer: add professional design help ($25, charged once per order) if you do not have a print-ready file.

What size is it
The flat card is 3.5 x 4 in and folds to 3.5 x 2 in (horizontal).

Can I see a proof before my cards are printed?

Low-resolution files
Images saved from a website, social media or a screenshot are usually too small and print blurry or pixelated. Build your file at the full card size, at a resolution of 300 dpi, or start from a high-quality original. Stretching a small image to fit does not add detail.
Uploading RGB instead of CMYK
Screens use RGB, but printing uses CMYK. An RGB file will still print, but colours can shift, especially reds and bright blues. Set your file to CMYK before you export so what you approve is closer to what prints.
No bleed
If your background or image runs to the edge, extend it 0.125 in past the trim on every edge so there are no thin white edges after trimming. The full file with bleed is 3.75 x 4.25 in.
Text or logos too close to the edge
Keep your name, phone number and logo at least 0.125 in inside the trim, and away from the fold in the middle of the card, so nothing is cut off or creased through.
Wrong size or scale
Build the file at the flat card size, 3.5 x 4 in, at 100%, not a smaller size scaled up. The free template on the Templates tab shows the size, bleed, safe area and fold line.
Live fonts and transparency
Convert fonts to outlines and flatten transparency and layers, so nothing changes or goes missing when we open your file.
Text across the fold
The card folds across the middle, at 2 in from the top and bottom edge. Text or logos placed across that line will be creased through. Keep important content fully inside either half, and see the fold line on the free template.
Unsupported file types
We accept PDF, AI, PSD, PNG or JPG, up to 25MB. Other file types, such as EPS or TIFF, cannot be uploaded.
