14pt matte gives a soft, modern finish. 14pt UV coated is glossier and makes colours pop.

Ignoring the die-cut template
The pockets and spine need to line up with your artwork.
Leaving out the 1/8 in bleed
This can leave thin white edges after cutting.
Placing text or logos too close to the edge or fold lines
Keep a 1/8 in safe margin inside the trim line and keep important text off the folds.
Uploading low-resolution images or screenshots
Anything under 300 dpi looks soft in print.
Submitting RGB artwork
Print uses CMYK and can look a little duller than on screen.
Forgetting to embed or outline fonts
Letters can swap to a default font.
